Along with this blog, I am currently working on a memoir series… But before I wrote stories about my own life, I co-wrote a book on the fascinating lives being lived underwater—by plants and animals. I thought I should mention that book here too!

Field Guide to Wisconsin Streams is a one-stop-shop for Wisconsin stream wildlife identification, from aquatic plants to fish to invertebrates. It was a collaboration by dozens of scientists within the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and I was the “project lead,” i.e., the person in charge of most organizing, editing, and a big chunk of the writing too. The book is available from University of Wisconsin Press and on Amazon. To learn more, listen to Ron and me in this fun 2014 episode of Wisconsin Public Radio’s The Larry Meiler Show!
