Reach Out Wisconsin had our latest media appearance last week, this time on television! Well, on WisconsinEye—an online program that broadcasts Wisconsin state government, much like a local C-SPAN. The program was also broadcast on one local cable channel, though, so technically it was our first TV appearance. 🙂
The WisconsinEye website contains live broadcasts of many House and Assembly proceedings, which can occasionally go viral. So we at Reach Out Wisconsin were excited last week when WisconsinEye sent us a special invitation to recruit a few of our group’s participants for a show about Governor Walker’s State of the State Address.
Walker gave his address last Wednesday. Afterwards, WisconsinEye also broadcast state Democrats’ official response. Following that, a panel of eight Reach Out leaders and participants (including Ron and Scott) responded to questions from Steve Walters, the WisconsinEye moderator.
The panel represented a broad range of viewpoints, and they did an excellent job of having a civil conversation about the most divisive person in the state. The video is at this link. I’m so proud!
